The true origins of Derrick are largely unknown, yet several rumors persist today.One such rumor states that he comes from the Northwest, and was born from a great clam shell. Another claims that he originated from a union of stellar gases in a distant galaxy far, far away. However, the rumor that most people believe, says that he was originally brought forth by an ancient clan of cave bears, and raised in a time when all beasts, and men, had the ability to change form. Eventually, Derrick began to work with others members of the clan, chronicling their lives on the walls of caves. Drawing and painting on cave walls while in the form of a bear was difficult. Therefore, Derrick decided to change, pretty much permanently, into the form of a human being. Today Derrick remembers nothing of his life as a shape shifting creature and, despite all of it's challenges and troubles, is forging ahead as a man, trying to live a good and happy life. Derrick currently works at a large format printing company nearby, while trying to create as much as he can.
